In 2019 GSS fabrication worked with Christine Borland on remaking her works ‘Cast from nature’. The work was originally made in GSS in 2010 when we recast a 19th century sculpture entitled From Nature allegedly cast directly from a flayed male body by Edinburgh anatomist John Goodsir.

Our technicians cast this work with polymer plaster using the original mould from 2010. The bespoke trestles which delicately balance the casts were fabricated in stainless steel.
